Located in Wilsonville, Oregon, World of Speed’s vision is to serve a wide range of audiences through varied programs that appeal to all ages. A nonprofit motorsports museum, World of Speed provides the general public and local schools, institutions, organizations, and groups with hands-on experiences that are as entertaining as they are educational.

It's a new kind of motorsports museum

With a rotating collection of historic performance vehicles including cars, boats, and motorcycles, World of Speed tells the story of America's leadership role in the automotive world — in particular, motorsports. World of Speed offers a unique array of racing simulators, hands-on exhibits, and behind-the-scenes views of the world of racing; its educational programs showcase the many career opportunities available throughout the automotive industry.

World of Speed Archive

Preserving the rich history of motorsports

The World of Speed Archive supports researchers interested in utilizing its extensive collections for the purpose of knowledge. Through Research Packages, the Archive offers assistance in identifying and retrieving collection items. Researchers can review requested materials and receive low-resolution watermarked digital or printed images.

We have five package levels for researchers to choose from; each Researcher Package includes research assistance and retrieval, along with watermarked copies of requested materials.
